Methodology

How we measure, and how you can check.

Every number on PropWorld comes from a data source, not from a firm's marketing. This page explains exactly how each figure is produced, how you can verify it yourself, and where it stops being reliable. Terms are defined in the glossary.

What PropWorld is

PropWorld is an independent analytics site. It is not a prop firm, a broker or a funding provider, and it does not sell challenges or accounts.

It measures what can be measured from outside a firm: how much traffic its website gets, how much it has actually paid traders on-chain, and what its public reputation looks like over time. It does not audit firms, verify their finances, or guarantee that any firm will pay any particular trader.

Website traffic

Traffic figures are third-party monthly estimates of visits to each firm's public website. We capture a snapshot once per month and keep it, so the series builds into a real trend rather than a single point in time. Cadence: refreshed monthly.

Limitations. These are estimates of website visits, produced by a third party — not a firm's own analytics, and not audited. They measure interest in a website, which is not the same as trading volume, funded accounts, revenue or quality. Small sites are estimated less accurately than large ones. A firm that drives signups through apps, Discord or paid partners rather than its website will look smaller here than it is.

On-chain payouts

PropWorld indexes ERC-20 token transfers sent from prop-firm payout wallets on Arbitrum One. Each recorded payout is a real transfer to a funded trader's wallet. Transfers to burn addresses are recorded separately and excluded from trader counts. Cadence: refreshed hourly.

How to verify a total yourself. Every payout row on a firm's payout page links to its transaction on Arbiscan. Open any of them and you will see the sending wallet, the receiving wallet, the token, the amount and the block timestamp. The totals we publish are the sum of those transfers over the period shown, so any figure on the site can be re-derived from the chain without trusting us. We publish the transaction, not a claim about it.

Limitations. Coverage is limited to wallets we track on Arbitrum One. A firm that pays traders by bank transfer, on a different chain, or from a wallet we have not identified will show little or no on-chain payout activity here. Absence of tracked payouts is not evidence that a firm does not pay. USD values are computed from the token amount at the time of transfer and will not match a trader's realised amount after fees or conversion.

Reputation

Ratings, review counts, rating distributions and review text are collected from TrustPilot and snapshotted monthly, which is what makes the reputation history possible. Cadence: refreshed monthly.

These ratings are TrustPilot's, not ours. They are always labelled as such on the site and in our structured data. Where PropWorld shows its own editorial score, it appears as a separate figure called “Our review”.

Limitations. Public review platforms can be gamed in both directions, by firms soliciting positive reviews and by disputes producing negative ones. Treat a rating as a signal of sentiment, not a measure of solvency.

Payout Reliability Score (PRS)

PRS is PropWorld's own metric. The full formula is published here so anyone can recompute it from the numbers shown on the page — an opaque score would be worth nothing in a category where rating integrity is the central complaint.

Payout Reliability Score (PRS) — a 0-100 score measuring how much a prop firm actually pays its traders, relative to how large its audience is. Higher is better.

PRS = intensity (0-50) + breadth (0-30) + recency (0-20)

1. Intensity (50 pts) - total USD paid on-chain per 1,000 monthly website visits.
Scored as 50 x log10(1+r) / log10(1+10,000,000), where r is that ratio, clamped to the range.
2. Breadth (30 pts) - distinct trader wallets paid per 1,000 monthly visits, scored the same way
against a cap of 1,000. This stops one large transfer from inflating the score.

The two caps are log-scaled because the observed spread across tracked firms covers four orders of
magnitude, and they are set at the top of that live distribution so the score actually separates
firms rather than awarding almost everyone a high mark.
3. Recency (20 pts) - full marks if the last payout was within 7 days, decaying
linearly to 0 at 90 days.

Bands: 80-100 Exceptional, 60-79 Strong, 40-59 Moderate, 20-39 Thin, below 20 Minimal.

PRS is reported as "not available" when a firm has no tracked payout wallets or no traffic data.
It is never reported as 0 in that case: absence of data is not evidence of non-payment.

Limitations: PRS only counts payouts made through wallets PropWorld tracks on Arbitrum One. A firm
paying traders by bank transfer, on another chain, or from an untracked wallet will score low or
show as unavailable. PRS measures observed on-chain payout activity, not a firm's overall quality,
solvency or trading conditions.

How PropWorld makes money

Some outbound links to firms are affiliate links, and some firms provide discount codes that are listed on the site. If you sign up through one, PropWorld may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.

Affiliate relationships never affect the numbers. Traffic, payout and reputation figures come from data sources, not from commercial arrangements. No firm can pay to raise its ranking, change its PRS, hide a payout, or be removed from a comparison.

Corrections

If a figure on this site looks wrong, it may well be. Data sources change formats, wallets get rotated, and firms rebrand. Report it and we will check the source and correct or withdraw the figure.
